Beautifully done, James! Yes, artists have to work in isolation, both physical and sometimes mental, as well, unless they happen to be part of a team of graphic artists, in which case their creativity is often limited by the requirements of their employers. I am reminded of a parallel situation in Music, where the jazz bands were often held back from playing what they really wanted to play by the requirements of the club owners who employed them. The tunes they played had to make the "cats" as they called them, get up and dance. One band leader was hauled over the coals by the club owner because people were sitting listening instead of dancing - or buying drinks. I cannot remember now whether it was John Coltrane or Artie Shaw, but they certainly put him on a guilt trip!

Your work so fascinates me James - not just because of its complexity and detail but because of its thoughtfulness and spiritual quality. This makes me want to go into a meditation room and just "be" for awhile. Awe inspiring work. F/L FB TP

I have spent fifty years also. In art and deep into books. A solitary observance of way too much to share. I love the way you have chosen to illustrate how creating beauty releases us from loneliness. Remarkable drawing and idea! F/L

Life is a journey of discovery Nancy. Sharing is my way of giving thanks. Open your vault of solitude and show us your beauty dearest.

I just stretched a canvas, 24x24in., for this. Lets see if it holds together as paint ♥ MIKY ♥
