A father figure! That's very healing. I think of a hollow in a human as as a problematic void in the soul, but it is nice to look at it as a comforting lap! But if it is both, then the person with the hollow must always have the lap filled. Oh well, that's enough psychological musing. I like the work and that it is made from ceramic clay. In this size that's its own set of problems....

Awesome work James... very intriguing !!! v/f

I always wanted to make a friend I could climb on at the playground. A father figure that would always be waiting at the playground for me to sit with. The hollow center would hold me within and I could be safe from the world beyond. This figure can be positioned two ways in a upright seated and reclining.
