James Lanigan Thompson MFA replied:
Man's faiths are a strange affair of death and destruction from their inceptions.

James, your work is exquisite! I love your concepts, your style, your unique approach! Beautiful! ~l/f

Very thought provoking James and beautifully expressed. I read your reply to Thomas and I thought I would like to say all faiths and the repetition of the forms with the variations suggests that the history of these atrocities in the name of religion just keeps repeating through time. I don't understand such stupidity.
Thomas Carroll
Very kinetic...I imagine characters like Face Dancers or the mystical Benigeserit priestesses from Frank Herts Dune!
James Lanigan Thompson MFA replied:
... symbolically the black faces represent death and destruction that follows most faiths. The beautiful costumes and rituals cloak the sinister elements. The ruins they tread on are the results. All make false promises of salvation, hope, peace, love, and eternal life hereafter.

On the surface it seems so simple, one pencil line after another . . . . but, then you turn it into art! Sharing . . .
